Dreams from the LORD 2011-2020
22 January 2020

Last night I had a dream where I was in this room with around ten other men.  We were sitting on the floor:  some of the men had their hands tied and some men were wearing handcuffs.  It looked like I was the only one with his hands untied. There was this man with a revolver in his hand–he was holding everyone hostage.  I found a metal object and threw it at his head.  He fell down and was knocked out temporarily.  I walked over and took the revolver out of his hand.  He came to and was very angry with me.  I took the revolver (it was loaded) and pointed it at the top of his head and fired.  This did not kill him, but knocked him out again temporarily.  He came to again and I demanded that he hand over his keys.  He reached into his pocket and gave me his keys.  I then freed all the hostages.

The last scene:  one of the men who was with me in the room used his phone to call the cops and have them arrest the guy who kept us hostage.

I believe this dream means that the Lord has freed me from demonic bondage and that He will use me to help others get freed from demonic bondage.

Genesis 3: 15:  “And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

I Samuel 17: 48-51:  “And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came and drew nigh to meet David, that David hasted, and ran toward the army to meet the Philistine.   And David put his hand in his bag, and took thence a stone, and slang it, and smote the Philistine in his forehead, that the stone sunk into his forehead; and he fell upon his face to the earth.   So David prevailed over the Philistine with a sling and with a stone, and smote the Philistine, and slew him; but there was no sword in the hand of David.   Therefore David ran, and stood upon the Philistine, and took his sword, and drew it out of the sheath thereof, and slew him, and cut off his head therewith.”

Isaiah 10: 27:  “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing.”

Isaiah 54: 17:  “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”

Revelation 1: 18:  “am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

  1. I believe the Lord is setting us free to help others to get free.

  2. I agree, Bobby. Tim, your dream brought a few things to mind: first, Paul and Silas; but also the “minyan,” which is a group of ten men in Jewish tradition who meet for daily prayer. In your dream the minyan was being oppressed, held hostage, prevented from fulfilling their purpose – OR perhaps this is a depiction of the subjugation to ritual that can cause complacency and a lack of intimacy in our relationship with Father. Ritual (routine, habit, custom) can be a powerful threshold to remembrance and holy practice, but it can also lead to distraction and empty motions. May we all seek His face with earnest fervor and love!
