THE RISE AND FALL OF THE WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

or

GETTING RID OF THE NEW WORLD ODOR

Daniel 2:21-22: “And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.”

Here are some emails between Alex Alexander (New Zealand) and Tim Shey (United States):

From Alex Alexander to Tim Shey:

“. . . about Sunak.

“For what it is worth on 5 October Gd impressed on me 21 days which you would be familiar with in Daniel.
I added on 21 days to the 5 and came up with 26 October [Liz Truss resigned as Prime Minister on 25 October. Rishi Sunak became Prime Minister on 25 October. Rishi Sunak’s first full day in office was 26 October].

“So I knew a biggie was going down on that date.

“Praise the I AM.”

From Tim to Alex:

“Thank you for your email.  What you wrote about (the 21 days) bore witness with my spirit.

“The Sunday before Liz Truss resigned (23 October), the Holy Ghost fell very heavy on me.  The Presence of God was very powerful all day.  When Liz Truss announced her resignation (on the 24th or 25 of October), it bore witness with my spirit.

“When the Holy Ghost falls very heavy on me, it usually means that things are happening in the heavenlies, strongholds are being cast down.

“I didn’t know anything about Liz Truss till she became Prime Minister.  I later learned that she had ties to the World Economic Forum and was friends with Jimmy Savile, a known pedophile.

“We will see how long Rishi Sunak lasts as Prime Minister.”

From Alex to Tim:

“Interesting about Truss, I had an extremely powerful dream of God’s wrath about trees being cut down. Haven’t deciphered it yet, but normally come across something that shows me. I got the word ‘SERPENTINE’ about Sunak!

“Tim it’s good to swap ideas. I really appreciate it.

“By the way Tyrant [New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern] has just got back from Antartica. Isn’t that the ‘fallen angels place’?

“Kia Ora from South Pacific.”

From Tim to Alex:

“You had a dream about some trees being cut down and you think it might be about Liz Truss?  Remember the dream that Nebuchadnezzar had about the tree that was cut down in Daniel Chapter 4?  I know that Liz Truss has ties to the World Economic Forum.  Maybe the trees being cut down are people who have ties to the World Economic Forum.  Maybe the Lord is going to destroy the World Economic Forum.

“‘Serpentine’ and Sunak.  That sounds about right.  I really don’t know a whole lot about Sunak, but he also has ties to the World Economic Forum.

“About Antarctica.  You have probably heard about Admiral Byrd’s flight where he discovered a highly advanced civilization under the earth.  Maybe the Fallen Angels have something to do with that.  I believe that in the Book of Enoch, the Fallen Angels landed on Mount Hermon.”

From Alex to Tim:

“Thanks Tim once again. I will read the Byrd bit. I’ve hinted on Kiwiblog that there is a connection with the elites there.

“Laugh laugh out loud I have to. I’ve just looked at the field for the Melbourne Cup on Tuesday. No.13 runner is SERPENTINE. I CAN’T BELIEVE IT.

“A friend of mine actually swam in the Serpentine in London, bit of a madman.

“Kia Ora from near Antartica.”

From Alex to Tim:

“Re: the 21 days, Tim. The Lord led me again to Daniel 10 and the Persian Prince.
Wouldn’t you know it, but India’s culture for millennia was INDO-PERSIAN.
Persian was the official language until the British East India Company arrived on the scene.
Daniel’s Revelation was held up until MICHAEL the prince stood up against what is described in the King James Version of the Bible as the Persian Kings.

“The revelation Daniel was about to receive was for end times only. It was held up by the Prince of Persia. Is it not a coincidence that New PM [Rishi Sunak] of Britain has Indo-Persian heritage? We know the Bible keeps imitating itself through the ages.

“Praise the I AM who reveals all.

“Incidentally, Tim, if you were feeling a bit off, so was Daniel at the time of the revelation.”

_____

From Tim to Alex:

“That is an excellent observation about the Indo-Persian Empire and Rishi Sunak who also has Indo-Persian heritage.

“Daniel’s vision in Daniel 10 was for ‘many days’ (Daniel 10:14:  ‘Now I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people in the latter days: for yet the vision is for many days.’)  In Daniel 10, we are told that Daniel received revelation, but we don’t know what that revelation was.  Maybe Daniel 12 is what was revealed in Daniel 10.

“Daniel 12:4:  ‘But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end.’

“Mankind is going through a great global tribulation with the Big Pharma death jab, lockdowns, the conflict in Ukraine and wicked politicians in power in certain countries (influenced by the World Economic Forum).  So maybe you are on to something about Michael fighting against the Prince of Persia—and maybe we are in that time.  Maybe Rishi Sunak (Indo-Persia) will be Prime Minister for a very short time.  Just the fact that Sunak is not Christian means that he is fighting against Michael (Judeao-Christianity) whether he knows it or not.  And maybe ‘Prince of Persia’ represents the world system or the World Economic Forum.

“Daniel 12:11:  ‘And from the time that the daily sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, there shall be a thousand two hundred and ninety days.’  When people take the death jab, it is a gene-editing device that changes your DNA; you are no longer 100% human; you are no longer God’s created property, you are now Satan’s intellectual property.  ‘The daily sacrifice shall be taken away’ which means the Blood of Jesus cannot cleanse you of sin because you are no longer 100% human—you are a hybrid (Jesus died on the cross for mankind, not hybrids; Jesus was called the Son of Man for a reason).  The abomination that maketh desolate is the death jab gene-editing device that changes your DNA.  After you take the gene-editing death jab, you are no longer the temple of God, your house is left unto you desolate.”

Dinesh D’Souza – Balance Regarding Colonialism   5 comments

This is from the blog Alternative Postscript:

Anti-colonialism was one of the dominant political currents of the 20th century, as dozens of European colonies in Asia and Africa became free. Today we are still living with the aftermath of colonialism.

Apologists for terrorism, including Osama Bin Laden, argue that terrorist acts are an understandable attempt on the part of subjugated non-Western peoples to lash out against their longtime Western oppressors. Activists at the World Conference on Racism, including the Rev. Jesse Jackson, have called for the West to pay reparations for slavery and colonialism to minorities and natives of the Third World.

These justifications of violence, and calls for monetary compensation, rely on a large body of scholarship that has been produced in the Western academy. This scholarship, which goes by the names of “anti-colonial studies,” “postcolonial studies,” or “subaltern studies,” is now an intellectual school in itself, and it exercises a powerful influence on the humanities and social sciences. The leading Western figures include Edward Said, Gayatri Spivak, Walter Rodney and Samir Amin. The arguments of these Western scholars are supported by Third World intellectuals like Wole Soyinka, Chinweizu – who uses only one name, Ashis Nandy and, perhaps most influential of all, Frantz Fanon.

The assault against colonialism and its legacy has many dimensions, but at its core it is a theory of oppression that relies on three premises.

First, colonialism and imperialism are distinctively Western evils that were inflicted on the non-Western world. Second, as a consequence of colonialism, the West became rich and the colonies became impoverished; in short, the West succeeded at the expense of the colonies. Third, the descendants of colonialism are worse off than they would have been had colonialism never occurred.

In a widely used text, “How Europe Underdeveloped Africa,” the Marxist scholar Walter Rodney blames European colonialism for “draining African wealth and making it impossible to develop more rapidly the resources of the continent.” A similar note is struck by the African writer Chinweizu in his influential book “The West and the Rest of Us.” Chinweizu offers the following explanation for African poverty: “White hordes have sallied forth from their Western homelands to assault, loot, occupy, rule and exploit the world. Even now the fury of their expansionist assault upon the rest of us has not abated.”

In his classic work “The Wretched of the Earth,” Fanon writes, “European opulence has been founded on slavery. The well-being and progress of Europe have been built up with the sweat and the dead bodies of Negroes, Arabs, Indians and the yellow races.”

These notions are pervasive and emotionally appealing. By suggesting that the West became dominant because it is oppressive, they provide an explanation for Western global dominance without encouraging white racial arrogance. They relieve the Third World of blame for its wretchedness. Moreover, they imply politically egalitarian policy solutions: The West is in possession of the “stolen goods” of other cultures, and it has a moral and legal obligation to make some form of repayment.

I was raised to believe in such things, and among most Third World intellectuals they are articles of faith. The only problem is that they are not true.

There is nothing uniquely Western about colonialism. My native country of India, for example, was ruled by the British for more than two centuries, and many of my fellow Indians are still smarting about that. What they often forget, however, is that before the British came, the Indians were invaded and conquered by the Persians, by the Mongols, by the Turks, by Alexander the Great, by the Afghans and by the Arabs. Depending on how you count, the British were the eighth or ninth foreign power to invade India since ancient times. Indeed ancient India was itself settled by the Aryan people who came from the north and subjugated the dark-skinned indigenous people.

Those who identify colonialism and empire only with the West either have no sense of history, or they have forgotten about the Egyptian empire, the Persian empire, the Macedonian empire, the Islamic empire, the Mongol empire, the Chinese empire and the Aztec and Inca empires in the Americas. Shouldn’t the Arabs be paying reparations for their destruction of the Byzantine and Persian empires? Come to think of it, shouldn’t the Byzantine and Persian people also pay reparations to the descendants of the people they subjugated? And while we’re at it, shouldn’t the Muslims reimburse the Spaniards for their 700-year rule?

As the example of Islamic Spain suggests, the people of the West have participated in the game of conquest not only as the perpetrators, but also as the victims. Ancient Greece, for example, was conquered by Rome, and the Roman Empire itself was destroyed by invasions of Huns, Vandals, Lombards and Visigoths from northern Europe.

America, as we all know, was itself a colony of England before its war of independence; England, before that, was subdued and ruled by the Norman kings from France. Those of us living today are taking on a large project if we are going to settle upon a rule of social justice based upon figuring out whose ancestors did what to whom.

The West did not become rich and powerful through colonial oppression. It makes no sense to claim that the West grew rich and strong by conquering other countries and taking their stuff. How did the West manage to do this?

In the late Middle Ages, say the year 1500, the West was by no means the most affluent or most powerful civilization. Indeed the civilizations of China and of the Arab-Islamic world exceeded the West in wealth, in knowledge, in exploration, in learning and in military power. So how did the West gain so rapidly in economic, political, and military power that, by the 19th century, it was able to conquer virtually all the civilizations in the world? This question demands to be answered, and the oppression theorists have never provided an adequate explanation.

Moreover, the West could not have reached its current stage of wealth and influence by stealing from other cultures for the simple reason that there wasn’t very much to take. “Oh yes there was,” the retort often comes. “The Europeans stole the raw material to build their civilization. They took rubber from Malaya and cocoa from West Africa and tea from India.” But as economic historian P.T. Bauer points out, before British rule, there were no rubber trees in Malaya, nor cocoa trees in West Africa, nor tea in India. The British brought the rubber tree to Malaya from South America. They brought tea to India from China. And they taught the Africans to grow cocoa, a crop the native people had previously never heard of.

None of this is to deny that when the colonialists could exploit native resources, they did. But this larceny cannot possibly account for the enormous gap in economic, political and military power that opened up between the West and the rest of the world.

What, then, is the source of that power? The reason the West became so affluent and dominant in the modern era is that it invented three institutions:

science, democracy and capitalism. All these institutions are based on universal impulses and aspirations, but those aspirations were given a unique expression in Western civilization.

Consider science. It is based on a shared human trait: the desire to know. People in every culture have tried to learn about the world. Thus the Chinese recorded the eclipses, the Mayans developed a calendar, the Hindus discovered the number zero and so on. But science requires experiments, laboratories, induction, verification, and what one scholar has termed “the invention of invention” – the scientific method, this is a Western institution. Similarly, tribal participation is universal, but democracy – involving free elections, peaceful transitions of power, separation of powers – is a Western idea.

Finally, the impulse to trade is universal, and there is nothing Western about the use of money, but capitalism based on property rights, contracts, courts to enforce them, and, ultimately, limited-liability corporations, stock exchanges, patents, insurance, double-entry book keeping – this ensemble of practices was developed in the West.

It is the dynamic interaction between these three Western institutions – science, democracy and capitalism – that has produced the great wealth, strength, and success of Western civilization. An example of this interaction is technology, which arises out of the marriage between science and capitalism.

Science provides the knowledge that leads to invention, and capitalism supplies the mechanism by which the invention is transmitted to the larger society, as well as the economic incentive for inventors to continue to make new things.

Now we can understand better why the West was able, between the 16th and the 19th century, to subdue the rest of the world and bend it to its will. Indian elephants and Zulu spears were no match for British jeeps and rifles. Colonialism and imperialism are not the cause of the West’s success; they are the result of that success.

The wealth and power of European nations made them arrogant and stimulated their appetite for global conquest. Colonial possessions added to the prestige, and to a much lesser degree to the wealth, of Europe. But the primary cause of Western affluence and power is internal – the institutions of science, democracy, and capitalism acting in concert.

Consequently it is simply wrong to maintain that the rest of the world is poor because the West is rich, or that the West grew rich off “stolen goods” from Asia, Africa and Latin America, because the West created its own wealth, and still does.

The descendants of colonialism are better off than they would have been had colonialism never happened. I would like to illustrate this point through a personal example. While I was a young boy growing up in India, I noticed that my grandfather, who had lived under British colonialism, was instinctively and habitually anti-white. He wasn’t just against the English, he was generally against the white man. I realized that he had an anti-white animus that I did not share. This puzzled me: Why did he and I feel so differently?

Only years later, after a great deal of reflection and a fair amount of study, did the answer finally hit me. The reason for our difference of perception was that colonialism had been pretty bad for him, but pretty good for me. Another way to put it was that colonialism had injured those who lived under it, but paradoxically it proved beneficial to their descendants.

Much as it chagrins me to admit it – and much as it will outrage many Third World intellectuals for me to say it – my life would have been much worse had the British never ruled India.

How is this possible? Virtually everything that I am, what I do, and my deepest beliefs, all are the product of a world view that was brought to India by colonialism. I am a writer, and I write in English. My ability to do this, and to reach a broad market, is entirely thanks to the British.

My understanding of technology, which allows me, like so many Indians, to function successfully in the modern world, was entirely the product of a Western education that came to India as a result of the British. So also my beliefs in freedom of expression, in self-government, in equality of rights under the law and in the universal principle of human dignity – they are all the product of Western civilization.

I am not suggesting that it was the intention of the colonialists to give all these wonderful gifts to the Indians. Colonialism was not based on philanthropy: It was a form of conquest and rule. The English came to India to govern, and they were not primarily interested in the development of the natives, whom they viewed as picturesque savages. It is impossible to measure, or overlook, the pain and humiliation that was inflicted by the rulers over their long period of occupation. Understandably the Indians chafed under this yoke.

Toward the end of the British reign in India, Mahatma Gandhi was asked, “What do you think of Western civilization?” He replied, “I think it would be a good idea.”

Despite their suspect motives and bad behavior, however, the British needed a certain amount of infrastructure in order to effectively govern India. So they built roads, shipping docks, railway tracks, irrigation systems and government buildings. Then the British realized that they needed courts of law to adjudicate disputes that went beyond local systems of dispensing justice. And so the English legal system was introduced, with all its procedural novelties, such as “innocent until proven guilty.”

The English also had to educate the Indians, in order to communicate with them and to train them to be civil servants in the empire. Thus Indian children were exposed to Shakespeare, Dickens, Hobbes and Locke. They began to encounter words and ideas not in their ancestral culture: “liberty,” “sovereignty,” “rights” and so on.

This brings me to the greatest benefit that the British provided to the Indians: They taught them the language of freedom. Once again, it was not the objective of the English to encourage rebellion. But by exposing Indians to the ideas of the West, they did. The Indian leaders were the product of Western civilization. Gandhi studied in England and South Africa, Nehru was a product of Harrow and Cambridge. This exposure was not entirely to the good; Nehru, for example, who became India’s first prime minister after independence, was highly influenced by Fabian socialism through the teachings of Harold Laski. The result was that India had a mismanaged socialist economy for a generation.

But my broader point is that the champions of Indian independence acquired the principles and the language and even the strategies of liberation from the civilization of their oppressors. This was true not just of India but also of other Asian and African countries that broke free of the European yoke. My conclusion is that against their intentions, the colonialists brought things to India that have immeasurably enriched the lives of the descendants of colonialism.

It is doubtful that non-Western countries would have acquired these good things by themselves. It was the British who, applying a universal notion of human rights, in the early 19th century abolished the ancient Indian institution of sati – the custom of tossing widows on the funeral pyre of their dead husbands.

There is no reason to believe that the Indians, who had practiced sati for centuries, would have reached such a conclusion on their own. Imagine an African or Indian king encountering the works of Locke or Madison and saying, “You know, I think those fellows have a good point. I should relinquish my power and let my people decide whether they want me or someone else to rule.” Somehow, I don’t see this as likely.

Colonialism was the transmission belt that brought to Asia, Africa and South America the blessings of Western civilization. Many of those cultures continue to have serious problems of tyranny, tribal and religious conflict, poverty and underdevelopment, but this is not due to an excess of Western influence but to the fact that those countries are insufficiently Westernized.

Sub-Saharan Africa, which is probably in the worst position, has been described by U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan as “a cocktail of disasters.” But this is not because colonialism in Africa lasted so long but because it lasted a mere half-century. It was too short to permit Western institutions to take firm root.

Consequently, after their independence most African nations have retreated into a kind of tribal barbarism that can be remedied only with more Western influence, not less. Africa needs more Western capital, more technology, more rule of law and more individual freedom.

None of this is to say that colonialism by itself was a good thing, only that bad institutions sometimes produce good results. Colonialism, I freely acknowledge, was a harsh regime for those who lived under it. My grandfather would have a hard time giving even one cheer for colonialism. As for me, I cannot manage three, but I am quite willing to grant two. So here it is: Two cheers for colonialism! Maybe you will now see why I am not going to be sending an invoice for reparations to Tony Blair.

This is my response:

Western/European colonialism also brought the Gospel of Jesus Christ–especially through Christian missionaries from Great Britain (the British Empire). Poverty, primarily, is a spiritual condition. A nation that has suffered from poverty for many generations or even centuries is because that nation is cursed. Begin to preach the Gospel to the people and the Light of Heaven comes into their lives and their lives are transformed. Also, prayer and fasting need to take place to break the curses off the land of that nation. Curses come through sin: devil worship, abortion (human sacrifice), sexual sin (homosexuality, adultery), earth worship, etc. Break the curses off that land and the Lord will bless the land.

I am the wealthiest man on the planet, not because I have much property or have millions or billions of dollars in a bank account. I am the wealthiest man on the planet because I have the Presence of God in my life. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for shedding your precious blood on the cross, so that I can have access to my heavenly Father. And because I have access to the Father, He can inspire me/reveal to me ideas to make my life better and other people’s lives better.

Many years ago, back in the 1600s, the great Christian intellectual, John Milton, wrote that because of the power and influence of the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Great Britain, the English language would be the dominant language of the world someday. On a similar note: I believe the Lord allowed Alexander the Great to conquer the Persian Empire because the Greek language is easier to learn than the Persian language. The Greek New Testament is still being studied today in 2021. That is the power of God in the affairs of men.

Leviticus 18:24-30: “Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants.  Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you:  (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;)  That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you.  For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.  Therefore shall ye keep mine ordinance, that ye commit not any one of these abominable customs, which were committed before you, and that ye defile not yourselves therein: I am the LORD your God.”

Leviticus 20:22-23: “Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them: that the land, whither I bring you to dwell therein, spue you not out.  And ye shall not walk in the manners of the nation, which I cast out before you: for they committed all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.”

II Kings 17:7-17: “For so it was, that the children of Israel had sinned against the LORD their God, which had brought them up out of the land of Egypt, from under the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and had feared other gods,  And walked in the statutes of the heathen, whom the LORD cast out from before the children of Israel, and of the kings of Israel, which they had made.  And the children of Israel did secretly those things that were not right against the LORD their God, and they built them high places in all their cities, from the tower of the watchmen to the fenced city.  And they set them up images and groves in every high hill, and under every green tree:  And there they burnt incense in all the high places, as did the heathen whom the LORD carried away before them; and wrought wicked things to provoke the LORD to anger:  For they served idols, whereof the LORD had said unto them, Ye shall not do this thing.  Yet the LORD testified against Israel, and against Judah, by all the prophets, and by all the seers, saying, Turn ye from your evil ways, and keep my commandments and my statutes, according to all the law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you by my servants the prophets.  Notwithstanding they would not hear, but hardened their necks, like to the neck of their fathers, that did not believe in the LORD their God.  And they rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified against them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and went after the heathen that were round about them, concerning whom the LORD had charged them, that they should not do like them.  And they left all the commandments of the LORD their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made a grove, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served Baal.  And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger.”

Isaiah 24:5-6: “The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell therein are desolate: therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.”

via Veronika West: exceptionally powerful vision re Brexit [Richard’s Watch]

Evenings are family time so don’t normally blog or go online, but today have opportunity to publish previous post on Brexit. I’ve been working at it on and off all day regarding Archbishop Justin Welby’s divisive remarks on it and decided to blog on that tomorrow. (See Cranmer Why Can’t Justin Welby Distinguish the Council of Europe from the EU?with my several comments thereto, plus Gavin Ashenden’s Welby Made Terrible Error of Judgement Endorsing EU’s Utopianism.)

Now as I’m about to sign off, ‘Lynne H’ kindly emails alerting me to Veronika’s live video this evening. I just don’t take time to read Facebook, let alone watch any video BUT this beckons AND she too is talking about having been directed to the Brexit issue TODAY!!  So watch and listen carefully – time to pray too! Prophetical significance of PM May’s speech in Philadelphia   2 comments

pm-may-and-trump

Prime Minister Theresa May and President Donald Trump

This is from the blog Richard’s Watch:

This was unplanned. Below, I tell of my reaction to events a week ago today that are indicative of a spiritual ‘Bridge over the Pond’; and in writing now tell about pieces of an ‘invisible jigsaw’ linking our English-speaking nations.:

My usual full blogging day last Thursday got a tad waylaid but I intended writing on the prophetical aspect of our Prime Minister’s visit to meet newly installed President of the United States Donald Trump on Friday 27th January – and she arrived looking like a ‘Redcoat’, as prophesied!

As with most folk, however, I didn’t then know she wasn’t going direct to Washington but to an engagement that day to address the ‘GOP’ conference in Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed. I got excited in my spirit upon reading the very brief mention in my newspaper, but didn’t know why.  But when I started writing I began to comprehend.

I published Fulfilled Prophecies #16 “The Redcoats are coming! The British are Coming!” – We’re here! and, later that day, Tim Shey commented from the far side of the States (and stole a march on me!).:

“I was having some lunch earlier today and I was able to watch some of Prime Minister May’s speech to some Republicans in Philadelphia. I thought it was inspiring. She emphasized the special relationship that the United States and Great Britain have had over the years. I believe that the Lord will strengthen the relationship between Trump and May and the United States and Great Britain.”

I usually take a long weekend family break from blogging. Time online is kept very minimal but before we went out the next day I did something I don’t even do regularly – checked a Facebook page! I dipped into Veronika West’s and knew what she’d posted on Thursday had to be re-blogged. A quick ‘copy and paste’ did the trick and hey presto: visions of the mighty rivers of gold and silver and gold-cum-silver handshake was reproduced.

Tim later remarks on my copy of her post (emphasis added):

“This vision by Veronica West is either confirmation or answered prayer. The day that Prime Minister May came to the United States I was really burning up in the Holy Ghost—the Presence of God was very strong. The next day, the Presence of God wasn’t as strong, so I asked the Lord why it was so strong when Theresa May spoke in Philadelphia. A day later the Lord answered my prayer through Veronica West’s vision.

“Powerful things are going to happen throughout the world because the Lord is bringing the United States and Great Britain closer together.” I remember General George Patton back in World War II got in trouble for talking about the Anglo-American Empire (he probably should have said Anglo-American Alliance). There is definitely an Anglo-American Christian influence in the world.

Tim blogs at The Road, his latest book is Writings From the Road and his Facebook page is the first book’s title, High Plains Drifter: A Hitchhiking Journey Across America.

I replied that I believe Theresa May’s visit is directly related not only on a politico-historical but also on a spiritual level that plugs our nations back together, or as Sharon Stone and other prophets have been saying, realigns us with the Lord’s plans and purposes for us in preparing for His return – it’s nothing to do with the personalities! I’m certainly convinced all those changes were engineered by the Almighty to fulfill His plans – AND the Sovereign Lord does nothing without revealing His plans to His servants, the prophets! (Amos 3:7)

A year ago no-one in the public arena would have believed what was to happen in shaking and jolting our nations to bring a complete upheaval across two continents with two totally unexpected, brand new leaders yet prophesied by, for example, Revd John Kilpatrick (see Fulfilled Prophecies #7).

Meeting newly installed President Trump is the politico-historical relationship, whereas going FIRST to Philadelphia by invitation of the Congress and Congressional Institute starts her journey on the much deeper (and higher!) spiritual level of our two nations’ original identity akin to imperial parent and colonial child.

Moreover, considering the possibility of Britain being the western equivalent of the biblical people of Tarshish with her young lions, according to Ezekiel 19:2-3 and 38:13 (as here), then we could chuckle at a UK-US’ family bonding with Mrs May being a ‘lioness’ (mother) and Donald Trump as her lion ‘cub’. If that’s so, then who’s truly in charge??

PM MAY’S’ PHILADELPHIA ADDRESS!

With that in mind let’s consider some points among many that Britain’s Prime Minister May brought to the Republican Party conference, as recorded in the official transcript (as delivered) of her half-hour address.:

“For more than two centuries, the very idea of America, drawn from history and given written form in a small hall not far from here, has lit up the world.

“That idea – that all are created equal and that all are born free – has never been surpassed in the long history of political thought.

“And it is here – on the streets and in the halls of this great city of Philadelphia – that the founding fathers first set it down, that the textbook of freedom was written, and that this great nation that grew “from sea to shining sea” was born.

“Since that day, it has been America’s destiny to bear the leadership of the free world and to carry that heavy responsibility on its shoulders. But my country, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, has been proud to share that burden and to walk alongside you at every stage…’  She then gave a brief resume of many areas of British and American collaboration in international affairs.

So it is my honour and privilege to stand before you today in this great city of Philadelphia to proclaim them again, to join hands as we pick up that mantle of leadership once more, to renew our Special Relationship and to recommit ourselves to the responsibility of leadership in the modern world.

Change in America

“And it is my honour and privilege to do so at this time, as dawn breaks on a new era of American renewal. For I speak to you not just as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, but as a fellow Conservative who believes in the same principles that underpin the agenda of your party. The value of liberty. The dignity of work. The principles of nationhood, family, economic prudence, patriotism – and putting power in the hands of the people.

“Principles instilled in me from a young age. Principles my parents taught me in the vicarage in Southern England in which I was raised….”

Change in Britain

In speaking of the changes in Britain, our new way of working with Europe, international role and a renewed ‘special relationship’, especially relating to security, she said,

“…we have chosen a different future for our country. A future that sees us restore our parliamentary sovereignty and national self-determination, and to become even more global and internationalist in action and in spirit.

“A future that sees us take back control of the things that matter to us – things like our national borders and immigration policy, and the way we decide and interpret our own laws – so that we are able to shape a better, more prosperous future for the working men and women of Britain….

“This is a vision of a future that my country can unite around – and that I hope your country, as our closest friend and ally, can welcome and support…

“It is in our interests – those of Britain and America together – to stand strong together to defend our values, our interests and the very ideas in which we believe.

“This cannot mean a return to the failed policies of the past. The days of Britain and America intervening in sovereign countries in an attempt to remake the world in our own image are over. But nor can we afford to stand idly by when the threat is real and when it is in our own interests to intervene. We must be strong, smart and hard-headed. And we must demonstrate the resolve necessary to stand up for our interests.

“And whether it is the security of Israel in the Middle East or the Baltic states in Eastern Europe, we must always stand up for our friends and allies in democratic countries that find themselves in tough neighbourhoods too…

“It is why I join you in your determination to take on and defeat Daesh and the ideology of Islamist extremism that inspires them and many others terrorist groups in the world today. It is in both our national interests to do so. This will require us to use the intelligence provided by the finest security agencies in the world. And it will require the use of military might.

“But it also demands a wider effort. Because one of the lessons of fighting terrorism in the last 15 years or so is yes, killing terrorists can save innocent lives. But until we kill the idea that drives them, the ideology, we will always have to live with this threat…”

She then referred to the major international issue, to which subsequent behind-the-scenes top-level agreements have now been seen to bear fruit, as in recent posts on Syria and Iran attest (here and here – the latter nation of which I’ve been watching for 30 years),

“Yet ultimately to defeat Daesh, we must employ all of the diplomatic means at our disposal. That means working internationally to secure a political solution in Syria and challenging the alliance between the Syrian regime and its backers in Tehran.

“When it comes to Russia, as so often it is wise to turn to the example of President Reagan who – during his negotiations with his opposite number Mikhail Gorbachev – used to abide by the adage “trust but verify”. With President Putin, my advice is to “engage but beware”…

“We should not jeopardise the freedoms that President Reagan and Mrs Thatcher brought to Eastern Europe by accepting President Putin’s claim that it is now in his sphere of influence.  And progress on this issue would also help to secure another of this nation’s priorities – to reduce Iran’s malign influence in the Middle East.

“This is a priority for the UK too as we support our allies in the Gulf States to push back against Iran’s aggressive efforts to build an arc of influence from Tehran through to the Mediterranean.

“The nuclear deal with Iran was controversial…But the agreement must now be very carefully and rigorously policed – and any breaches should be dealt with firmly and immediately.”

Did our Prime Minister read this blog’s paper on Nationhood by Dave Chapman?. She said,

“Yet the most important institution is – and should always be – the nation state. Strong nations form strong institutions. And they form the basis of the international partnerships and co-operation that bring stability to our world.

“Nations, accountable to their populations – deriving as the Declaration of Independence puts it “their just powers from the consent of the governed” – can choose to join international organisations, or not. They can choose to co-operate with others, or not. Choose to trade with others, or not.

“Which is why if the countries of the European Union wish to integrate further, my view is that they should be free to do so. Because that is what they choose.

“But Britain – as a sovereign nation with the same values but a different political and cultural history – has chosen to take a different path because our history and culture is profoundly internationalist…”

In her conclusion Prime Minister May cited famous British and American leaders and once more referred to Philadelphia’s renowned history,

“As we renew the promise of our nations to make them stronger at home – in the words of President Reagan as the “sleeping giant stirs” – so let us renew the relationship that can lead the world towards the promise of freedom and prosperity marked out in parchment by those ordinary citizens 240 years ago…”

PROPHETICAL JIGSAW PIECES

1. That reference to “sleeping giant stirs” reminds me of a friend Lynn’s vision in 2001 of seeing a giant arise , which itself echoes the ‘Tommy Hick’s Vision’ of 1961 (End-time Ministries of the Body of Christ):

“When in Cornwall had very strong  impression…as if I was positioned at the south-west of Cornwall looking at the land mass of England, Scotland and Wales from the air.  In a moment I saw rising up from Scotland first, like the lid of a container with the hinge being at the extreme end of Cornwall, the “Body of Christ”.  Impressed that the ‘Body’ is everywhere and there are people ‘hidden’ who are so much part of it. I was then taken aback by the thought that it appeared to be like a sleeping giant rising up powerfully and suddenly.  The experience left me with hope and anticipation for what God would do in spite of how things appeared.”

220px-Paul_Revere's_ride2. A famous event before the American War of Independence has a specific relevance in the prophetic background to this renewed ‘special relationship’.  It’s the theme of Paul Revere’s Midnight Ride in 1775 warning “The Redcoats are coming!”, that shows up as part of the design across some ‘pieces’.

Let me briefly outline a sequence of personal events on this:

3. In reading the background to a Revival Alliance gathering held in September 2011 in London I learned that Revere’s ride had featured as prophetical inspiration at the gathering’s inception meeting held in November 2010, as shown here:

Paul Revere Refc

4. Although unable to attend that gathering I had a strongly related dream that was about the Kingdom of God being set up here in Britain, as retold on its 5th anniversary last year.

5. In Holy Week, April 2012 I came across two prophecies relating to the same theme of a holy horseman. One was written on UK Prophetic Words and the other spoken by pastor John Kilpatrick, as recounted in Get Ready!

6. A couple of month’s earlier, and just after the EU Referendum, worship leader Lydia Marrrow delivered a powerful prophetic word that closed with excited exclamations that, “The Redcoats are coming! The British are coming”. This directly quotes Paul Revere’s cries to colonial citizens during his midnight ride. (Read transcript.)

7. After giving that word Lydia explained her excitement,

“It’s such an honour to be here. In case you’re wondering why I’m so passionate about God pouring His Spirit in the UK, history tells us that the United Kingdom and the United States do not have Awakening apart from one another!” (A Linkage Between Awakening in the UK and the USA)

8. This eighth piece is that of last weekend’s reconnecting of the historical link between our nations after the past 8 years under ungodly rule.

Lastly, as we’ve encountered a midnight reference, could it suggest another jigsaw piece – that of  Midnight Words for 2017??

Vision of spiritual battle for Britain’s birthright   Leave a comment

union-jack-672666_orig

This is from the blog Richard’s Watch:

Veronika West published this yesterday morning 21st June on Facebook

“IN THIS HOUR I SEE A FIERCE BATTLE, A TUG OF WAR THAT RAGES OVER THE DESTINY AND BIRTHRIGHT OF BRITAIN, BUT FEAR NOT FOR YOUR WORDS AND PRAYERS HAVE BEEN HEARD AND HE HAS COME”!

This morning in my time of soaking in His presence, suddenly I was shown a fierce battle that is raging over the Birthright of Britain in this very hour. I saw in the Spirit Mighty Warring Warrior Angels in what looked like a fierce battle and tug of war over the future Destiny and Sovereignty of the United Kingdom.

As I watched intently, Immediately the Holy Spirit quickened these words to me, “Fear not, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your mind to understand and humbled yourself before your God, your words and prayers have been heard, and I have COME because of your words and prayers.”

Now, after hearing the Spirit speak, suddenly I could clearly hear the sound and the intensity of the words and prayers of the Sons and Daughters of God that have been crying out for the plans and the purposes of God to be made manifest in this hour and season over the Nation of Britain and the United Kingdom.

As I pressed in deeper into what I was hearing and seeing in the realms of the Spirit, suddenly I was shown the ‘Guardian Angel of the United Kingdom’ standing over the land. This Mighty Guardian Angel stood hundreds of feet tall and with eyes of blazing fire he stood with a raised sword and shield which completely overshadowed the whole Nation of Britain. Immediately the Holy Spirit likened this incredible Angel to me as the Archangel Michael who was the Guardian Angel and fierce Protector over the Nation of Israel, who had warred against and defeated the powerful territorial spirits that ruled over the Nations of Greece and Persia.

(“Then the messenger from God said, ‘Do you know why I have come to you? But now I will return to fight against the prince of Persia; and when I am through with him, lo, the prince of Greece will come. But I will tell you what is inscribed in the book of truth: there is none who contends by my side against these except Michael, your prince”!)

Friends, Here we see the mighty Angel of the Lord going back to fight against the demon prince of Persia to DEFEAT HIM. As we read on we see yet again another enemy spirit, the powerful demon prince of Greece, these were the territorial spirits that had rule and dominion over the Nations of Persia and Greece! These were the demonic spirits that held sway over these Nations and they needed to be dealt with by the Warrior Angels of God in order that the plans and purposes of God could be established in the land in that day.

Prophetically this morning I was shown this same battle that this raging in this very hour over the Birthright and Destiny of BRITAIN, BUT I HEAR THE SPIRIT SAY, “FEAR NOT, FOR FROM THE FIRST DAY THAT YOU SET YOUR MIND TO UNDERSTAND AND YOU HUMBLED YOURSELF BEFORE YOUR GOD, YOURS WORDS AND PRAYERS HAVE BEEN HEARD, AND I HAVE COME”!

In this hour the Holy Spirit is charging us as Sons and Daughters to WAR IN A NEW WAY FOR A NEW DAY IS DAWNING, there is a spiritual battle that rages over this Nation with powerful territorial spirits, demons, principalities, powers, world rulers of this present darkness, spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places, we MUST STAND OUR GROUND AND REFUSE TO BE DISTRACTED OR DISCOURAGED OR DERAILED WE MUST STAY THE COURSE AND REMAIN STEADFAST AND VIGILANT, WE MUST DECREE AND AGREE THAT THE BATTLE FOR BRITAIN IS THE LORDS, AS A NATION WE HAVE THE VICTORY TO THE GLORY OF GOD.

Does a Spiritual Yet Political Trend link USA to Britain?   5 comments

banderas-ingles

This is from the blog Richard’s Watch:

Are subtle changes in the British and American political scene afoot, and is there a spiritual link between them?

Could a positive trend relating to revival come from the ‘mother’ nation to its ‘adult child’? A trend that includes a rebellious, corrective ‘fight-back’ from Christians!

Courtesy WatcharakunReading a few remarks on the US mid-term election results, comments upon our fuel prices and on the Labour party leader’s about-face, a provocative notion popped into mind. Just like one of my loaves it began to rise, and my premise is submitted for what it may be worth. Now it’s out of the ‘oven’ and not half-baked, I’d value your tasting and opinion, so kindly bear with me.

Let’s bite and chew upon these facts as they emerged over weekend 7-9th November:

1. Rick Joyner’s prophetic bulletin arrived whilst I was drafting POTUS’ party pummelled and, although I’d only skimmed it, his careful consideration of the results was evident. He’s of the opinion the GOP now has a mandate from the people – but not necessarily so, because turn-out was low with Democrat supporters staying away in droves. One could, however, argue they couldn’t care less, or that their own president’s policies are so chronic his voters are against him. Moreover, the mandate comes from many who are sufficiently concerned about state of the Union to express this by their vote.

Rick suggests two main questions need answering very quickly with the new Congress:

  1. Will Republican leaders lead with the resolution needed to fulfill their mandate?
  2. Will President Obama now work with Congress to make the mandated changes or will he become an obstructionist President?  (Do leopards change spots? RB)

He refers to Bill Clinton’s wise course of action after a mid-term rebuke as shown in his working with Republicans and their ‘Contract with America’.  Incumbent Obama has the same choice but, “If he doesn’t get the message and act accordingly, it will get very ugly, and impeachment will not be off the table for the abundance of crimes committed by his Administration”. (Now where did I blog about that? – ah yes, on 4th June 2013.)

Rick comments upon voters’ main concerns as revealed in exit polls and I noted nearly half (45%) saw the American economy as an issue. In recommending how GOP should proceed, he refers to Joshua’s defeat at the battle of Ai and how he learned to prevail and concludes:

To effectively deal with the threats to our existence that are still gathering against us, it is imperative that we throw off the extreme devotion to political correctness that has blinded us from seeing or confronting some of the biggest threats…

After elections that seemed to go in our favor, Christians and conservatives have often relaxed. Some would just go back to sleep. If that happens now, it can prove fatal…

“This election was a great victory, but it is just the beginning of getting America back on course. This is no time to let up, and this is no time to become arrogant.

[FYI: Rick Joyner is a founder of ‘a grassroots movement to unite, mobilize, equip, and activate Christians to be the salt and light they are called to be by engaging in the great issues of our time from a sound biblical worldview’ known as The Oak Initiative. Its rise was rapid across all 50 states and over 50 nations worldwide, as well as attracting over 300 Christian leaders.]

BillKoenig_hdr2. Friday’s Eye View From The White House from William Koenig connected right into Rick’s remarks  about Clinton. He opens from his personal, frontline coverage with header; Defiant Obama Completely Misses the Point of His Political Party’s Shellacking (transl: ‘thrashing’)

I was at President Obama’s White House press conference Wednesday afternoon. As I listened to him explain what happened in the 2014 mid-term election, I thought, “Does he really not understand that this election was a shellacking about him and his failed agenda? Is he that far removed from reality or in total denial?” This was one of the largest political defeats in modern election history at all levels of government, both national and state.

But Obama refuses to take responsibility despite the fact that his political party did not invite him to do any national or local political campaigning, which he said he loves to do…

As Obama’s yet to learn from the 2010 fiasco, as in this from BBC on ‘shellacking’, the chances of his now changing attitude seem negligible!

Bill’s review continues with quotations from leading left- and right-wing journalists who hammer Obama’s denial and defiance of sweeping GOP gains in the Senate, House and governorships. He also quotes National Review’s article on the Democrats in States Legislature sinking to levels only known prior to the Great Depression!!

3. The most surprising element of Bill Koenig’s ‘Eye View’ is on Christians’ decisive role in the Democrats’ demise!  Political involvement by churches in the US is regarded by Brits as an American peculiarity, probably because of our centuries of politico-religious conflicts and state-established Anglican church presided over by the monarch. Yet we need to be aware and appreciate what’s happened…

The Faith & Foundation Coalition report upon a post-election survey showing, ‘Self-Identified Conservative Christians Comprised Record Share of the Electorate, Backed GOP Candidates by 8 to 1 Margin’. Bill quotes FFC founder Ralph Reed,

Their share of the electorate exceeded that of the African-American vote, Hispanic vote, and union vote combined.  Religious conservative voters and the issues they care about are here to stay. They will be equally vital in 2016. Politicians of both parties ignore this constituency at their peril.

It’s instructive to note the Christian share of the vote was almost 1 in 3 and that those who identified themselves as believers voted as follows:

  • conservative – 82%:12% GOP:Dem (approx 52.4% GOP vote-share)
  • evangelical – 82%:18% GOP:Dem (constitute 23% electorate)
  • Catholic – 70%:30% GOP:Dem (constitute 9% electorate)

4. On Saturday I read about the reasons UK motorists are being ripped off and this cast doubt on claims about the state of the US economy being a major factor in the election results.

In his Business Comment, Allister Heath explains horrendous tax rates are the real reason why petrol is still so expensive and that international oil prices are directly connected to the petro-dollar. This is only one reason why falling prices are not quickly reflected in pump prices. A drop in price can be cancelled out by weak value of sterling against US dollar, as is happening today. “The value of the pound has slumped to a 14-month low against the dollar, partly as a result of strong employment figures from the US.”

Costs at the pump are hiked up by fuel duty and value-added tax totalling 63.4% of retail price. [At 1.60 £/$, petrol at just under £1.25/litre = $2.00. So 1 gallon here costs £5.68 = $9.10 : that is, $7.60/gallon (US).]

So, I thought this commentator’s remark ran contrary to US exit-poll reasons. Of course what really counts is voters’ personal perception and experience of economic realities. It is another thing for economists to look at leading indicators showing the US economy is now strengthening (eg. Guardian’s Trevor Williams, Calm down financial markets; the message on UK and US growth is good).

5. Then in the same paper I espied an op-ed’s strap-line ‘Sooner or later a line has to be drawn – and anti-Semitism is surely a good place to start’.  Dan Hodges’ Politics has become detached from morality opens on Tory strategists’ ideas to counter UKIP’s poaching conservative voters. Apparently, UKIP Leader Farage did a deal with a notorious extremist leader of a far-right Polish party who admires Hitler and denies his involvement in the Holocaust. But the author changes tack, as follows…

After the week’s reports of challenges to Ed Miliband’s leadership of the Labour party, it is noteworthy that Dan writes, “This week a voice was raised against anti-Semitism. It was that of Ed Milibrand…on his Facebook page (he said) ‘We need a zero-tolerance approach to anti-Semitism in the UK and reaffirm our revulsion to it in all its forms’…”

Not so laudable as it seems, because its belies his 3-line whip preventing Labour MPs’ free vote in the motion favouring a Palestinian state (see MPs ignore Koranic scholar’s warning). Miliband’s ardent support for Palestinian goals seems mutually exclusive to any concerns over anti-Semitism and, by inference over anti-Israel sentiment.

Dan exposes the hypocrisy of Milband’s insistence upon a ‘zero-approach’:

A clear and principled statement. Except, it wasn’t a clear and principled statement, but a statement born of political calculation.

A week earlier, Miliband had received a high-profile rebuke from Labour supporter Maureen Lipman. “Just when the anti-Semitism in France, Denmark, Norway, Hungary is mounting savagely, just when our cemeteries and synagogues and shops are once again under threat”, she wrote in Standpoint magazine, “in steps Mr Miliband to demand that the government recognise the state of Palestine”.

Lipman’s comments, in particular her concern about the Labour leader’s silence over anti-Semitic attacks, were quickly echoed by other senior members of the Jewish community.

So 24 hours later that silence was suddenly broken. Reporters at the Jewish Chronicle and Jewish News were phoned with quotes condemning a recent attack on Luciana Berger, the Jewish Labour MP. And a couple of days later, Miliband’s Facebook article appeared.

H O L D  O N – wot woz zat?

Suddenly, I sense an invisible jigsaw again taking shape…

Puzzle in sky - Idea goA corrective trend?

I’d closed my previous post by quoting Apostle Paul on the futility of our mocking God’s ways and precepts, as in the earliest document of the New Testament. Also, I related it to the acceleration in applying that law as recently taught by Neville Johnson.

So now I’m suddenly struck, not by the Labour’s leader’s expedient about-turn, but by the fact of his leadership being challenged that week – see How Labour rebels turned on their leader. This isn’t at all surprising as a consequence of the party’s deep decline in Scotland.

But there may be another dimension to all this…a provocative notion springs to mind: I’m struck by the possibility he may be reaping what he’s sown against Israel.

Now, where did I note a similar party political upheaval before?  Answer: Alex Salmond and his failed personal ambition to persuade Scotland to vote for leaving the UK!  As a result, he stood down from leadership of the Scottish Nationalist Party.

Moreover, in blogging on Salmond’s possible Islamist stance, I noted he’s vociferously  anti-Israel.  Perhaps the Lord ensured he reaped his reward for what he’d sown against His people? And perhaps the most appropriate time was an election/referendum?

After the ground was shaken from under the Scottish First Minister, the notion popped into mind that this may the reason it’s starting to shake under Ed Miliband’s feet too?

Obama-NetanyahuAnd it’s happened in the very same week for POTUS and the Democrats! Obama mocked the Lord God throughout his tenure, has been against Israel and displays personal animosity towards its Prime Minister (click image to read why). As the renowned investigative journalist Daniel Greenfield now blogs at ‘Sultan Knish’, The Democratic Party’s Civil War is Here.

Also, lest we forget, two Christian leaders prophesied about Benjamin Netanyahu being elected into office for more than a single term, one as far back as 1980 (as told here). Therefore, he is the Lord’s man for this time in Israel’s history.

To summarise:

  • the above political leaders have made declarations and decisions in varying measure inimical to the well-being of the Jewish people and Israel and have then come a cropper. It’s quite possible the Lord is now taking them to task for that.

That this Galatians 6:7-8 action has started in the UK before the USA, where the sowing of defective seed has been extensive, may be related to the fulfilment of prophecies for the British Isles and what the Lord is already doing here.

That is, it’s necessary to correct UK’s ungodly situation first – or because the spiritual atmosphere is opening – in order for the harvest to ripen as people awaken to the Lord.

Whereas in the States, an enormous spiritual schism had opened up across the nation (as seen by Chuck Pierce in 2008) which will need extensive repair with repentance, or face an increase of the judgement that’s already come upon it.  Comparatively, the USA may therefore be further down the line for revival than the UK yet be blessed by what he Lord will do here.

Hence, the mid-term elections and the possible consequential actions could be a vital corrective action for the sake of America’s spiritual well-being. Perhaps that trend has already started here in the UK and will come to affect the USA too?

That concept was voiced in March by Charles Shamp about the British Isles,

“Whether we are discussing the First and Second Great Awakenings…God has always seemed to release the fresh movement of the Holy Spirit on these Islands that has gone on to affect the entire earth.

“My love for Church history and the moves of the Spirit caused me to recognize that what took place within these nations directly affected America and the move of the Spirit in my nation.

“Although we are an ocean away, we are connected in the realm of the Spirit, and as the song of Heaven would arise over the UK, it would carry all the way to the shores of America and revival would begin to come forth in these United States….”  (read full word here)

The Prayer at Valley Forge

George Washington in the French and Indian War (1754-1763)

“This story of George Washington once appeared in virtually every student text in America, but hasn’t been seen in the last forty years. This story deals with George Washington when he was involved in the French and Indian War as a young man only twenty-three years of age.

“The French and Indian War occurred twenty years before the American Revolution. It was the British against the French; the Americans sided with the British; and most of the Indians sided with the French. Both Great Britain and France disputed each other’s claims of territorial ownership along the Ohio and Mississippi rivers; both of them claimed the same land.

“Unable to settle the dispute diplomatically, Great Britain sent 2300 hand-picked, veteran British troops to America under General Edward Braddock to rout the French.

“The British troops arrived in Virginia, where George Washington (colonel of the Virginia militia) and 100 Virginia buckskins joined General Braddock. They divided their force; and General Braddock, George Washington, and 1300 troops marched north to expel the French from Fort Duquesne — now the city of Pittsburgh. On July 9, 1755 — only seven miles from the fort — while marching through a wooded ravine, they walked right into an ambush; the French and Indians opened fire on them from both sides.

“But these were British veterans; they knew exactly what to do. The problem was, they were veterans of European wars. European warfare was all in the open. One army lined up at one end of an open field, the other army lined up at the other end, they looked at each other, took aim, and fired. No running, no hiding, But here they were in the Pennsylvania woods with the French and Indians firing at them from the tops of trees, from behind rocks, and from under logs.

“When they came under fire, the British troops did exactly what they had been taught; they lined up shoulder-to-shoulder in the bottom of that ravine — and were slaughtered. At the end of two hours, 714 of the 1300 British and American troops had been shot down; only 30 of the French and Indians had been shot.  There were 86 British and American officers involved in that battle; at the end of the battle, George Washington was the only officer who had not been shot down off his horse — he was the only officer left on horseback.

“Following this resounding defeat, Washington gathered the remaining troops and retreated back to Fort Cumberland in western Maryland, arriving there on July 17, 1755.

“The next day, Washington wrote a letter to his family explaining that after the battle was over, he had taken off his jacket and had found four bullet holes through it, yet not a single bullet had touched him; several horses had been shot from under him, but he had not been harmed. He told them:

“‘By the all powerful dispensations of Providence, I have been protected beyond all human probability or expectation.’

“Washington openly acknowledged that God’s hand was upon him, that God had protected him and kept him through that battle.

“However, the story does not stop here. Fifteen years later, in 1770 — now a time of peace — George Washington and a close personal friend, Dr. James Craik, returned to those same Pennsylvania woods. An old Indian chief from far away, having heard that Washington had come back to those woods, traveled a long way just to meet with him.

“He sat down with Washington, and face-to-face over a council fire, the chief told Washington that he had been a leader in that battle fifteen years earlier, and that he had instructed his braves to single out all the officers and shoot them down. Washington had been singled out, and the chief explained that he personally had shot at Washington seventeen different times, but without effect. Believing Washington to be under the care of the Great Spirit, the chief instructed his braves to cease firing at him. He then told Washington:

“‘I have traveled a long and weary path that I might see the young warrior of the great battle…. I am come to pay homage to the man who is the particular favorite of Heaven, and who can never die in battle.'”

American War for Independence (1775-1783)

“The Americans who protested against British encroachments on colonial liberties wanted to preserve their traditional rights. They were not revolutionaries seeking the radical restructuring of society… They used the word ‘innovation’ pejoratively… ‘no freeman should be subject to any tax to which he has not given his own consent’ [-John Adams]… From the American point of view, such taxation without consent was an intolerable novelty… They protested that their ancient chartered rights were being violated… The Americans defended their traditional rights. The French revolutionaries despised French traditions and sought to make everything anew: new governing structures, new provincial boundaries, a new ‘religion,’ a new calendar—and the guillotine awaited those who objected…

“In a certain sense, there was no American Revolution at all. There was, instead, an American War for Independence in which Americans threw off British authority in order to retain their liberties and self-government. In the 1760s, the colonies had, for the most part, been left alone in their internal affairs… [The] colonists did not seek the total transformation of society that we associate with other revolutions, such as the Industrial Revolution, the French Revolution, or the Russian Revolution. They simply wished to go on enjoying self-rule when it came to their internal matters and living as they always had for so many decades before British encroachments began. The American ‘revolutionaries’ were conservative, in the very best sense of that word…

“When modern-day liberals justify extremely broad readings of the Constitution on the grounds that we need a ‘living, breathing Constitution’ that ‘changes with the times’, they are actually recommending the very system the colonists sought to escape. The British constitution was very flexible indeed — too flexible for the colonists, who were inflexibly committed to upholding their traditional rights. The ‘living, breathing’ British constitution was no safeguard of American liberties.”
