The Stubborn Ones   Leave a comment

demons-deliverance

This is from the blog Homeward Bound:

During a conversation I had with my little brother some time ago, he pointed something out that I hadn’t thought of, at least not in the way he framed it. We were discussing the lack of discernment when it comes to spiritual gifting in the Western church, as well as the lack of knowledge and understanding regarding the manifest power of God.

“You have to understand, we grew up with these things,” my little brother said, “we see them as something ordinary, something that naturally occurs during one’s spiritual journey, and we take them for granted, but many people in America have never experienced what we have.”

It is precisely this sentiment that keeps gnawing at me vis-à-vis something that occurred toward the tail end of the Hear the Watchmen conference, and since enough people asked me about it the next morning, I thought it a perfect opportunity to talk about deliverance for a bit.

To clarify, I have not been called to deliverance ministry, but I have prayed for people to be delivered. My grandfather [Dimitru Duduman] before me likewise had not been called to deliverance ministry, but the devil knew his name, and every time a minion of darkness crossed paths with him, he had enough authority in Christ Jesus to cast them out.

That said, after the service on Saturday evening, there was a call to the altars, and an offer to pray for anyone who needed prayer. Unfortunately, since I’d gotten maybe two hours of sleep total the night before, I had already left by this point. From what I’ve been able to piece together from the various people who approached me, a gentleman came up for prayer, and though the brother praying over him had both knowledge of the supernatural and of deliverance in particular, as well as authority to cast out the demon, it would not go. There was no deliverance, there was no breakthrough, and most of the folks who approached me the next morning wondered how this could be.

Thankfully, there is precedent in the Bible, as well as the means by which to excise one of the stubborn ones.

There was a man who had brought his son to Christ’s disciples, to cast out a demon, and though they had done it before, and they had used their authority in Christ, this one particular one refused to go. After the man brought the boy to Jesus and he cast out the evil spirit, His disciples asked why it was that they could not cast it out, and Jesus answered them saying, “this kind can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.”

The reasons why some evil spirits are more difficult to cast out than others can vary. The most common cause is that the individual in question opened themselves up to the evil spirit, and actively courted it, inviting it in.

A squatter will defend the home he is squatting in far less vigorously than a homeowner will. The same principle applies when it comes to evil spirits. If the evil spirit thinks of the person as their habitation, their domicile, their home, they are reluctant to leave, and will often put up a fight.

Another reason why an evil spirit will not leave even though it is commanded is because there is still unconfessed sin in the life of the individual. As long as the sin is unconfessed, the spirit has a license to be there.

To be perfectly honest, there is so much to unpack it could probably be turned into a book, but the point I wanted to get to is what prayer and fasting do to an evil spirit, and why this kind, the stubborn kind, can come out by nothing but prayer and fasting.

Think of prayer and fasting as chemo, and the evil spirit as cancer. With each prayer lifted up for the individual in question, with each day of fasting fasted on their behalf, it’s like the spirit gets hit with another round of radiation. Each round weakens it incrementally, until, in its weakened state, when commanded to leave it has no choice but to do so.

I hope some of you who came up to me during the conference and asked about this will find your way to this writing and understand why what happened, happened, and why it is not out of the ordinary.

This is from the blog Homeward Bound:

Before acquiring power, and running what was once known as the breadbasket of Europe into the ground, Nicolae Ceausescu’s dream, the pinnacle of his aspirations on this earth, was to be a shoemaker.

He never succeeded at becoming a shoemaker, he just dreamed of being one.

Although there is nothing wrong with being a shoemaker, the fact that this was the heights to which he dreamed to ascend is very telling about the man and his mindset. He did not dream of being a doctor, a surgeon, a mathematician, or even a lawyer. He dreamed of being a shoemaker.

Besides being an aspiring shoemaker, the only other notable thing about the man who would come to be known as the dictator of Romania, was that up until 1965 when he took over, he was first secretary of the Romanian workers’ party. Basically, he was an errand boy, a lickspittle, someone who could take orders, and do what he was told. That’s it. Nothing more. And yet, over twenty million people lived a waking nightmare for close to a quarter century because of this man and his devotion to Communism.

One of the first things the Communists did when they took over was to do away with anyone they deemed a threat to their acquisition of power. Intellectuals, philosophers, thinking men and women were summarily arrested, sent to labor camps, or made to live out the rest of their days in dark dungeons.

It is a demonstrable fact that individuals of inferior intellect have a chip on their shoulder regarding their own inferiority, and they will lash out at anyone they deem to be of superior intellect. The first thing they do when they gain power, is to do away with everyone they deem their intellectual superior.

The second thing they do immediately after the first, is amass wealth for themselves and their inner circle. Once you get past all the flowery speeches, and the promises of a better tomorrow, the insistence on equity and equality, in the end it’s all about the money, and the acquisition thereof.

Every one of these slobbering buffoons who are all in for Socialism don’t yet realize they are simply useful idiots, pawns to be used and discarded when they are no longer useful. The overarching truism is this: Socialism is for the people, not for the socialists!

Ever wonder how every Socialist hero turned dictator ended up a multi-millionaire, if not a billionaire even though their nations descended into ruin, and their people starved to death? Might be something worth looking into before we embrace the lunacy that is Socialism and make it our own, don’t you think?

There are dozens of examples to choose from throughout the world as to the failure of Socialism, or Communism. I picked Nicolae Ceausescu because he was the bane of my homeland’s existence, but everywhere you look, throughout the history of Marxism, Socialism, or Communism, all three interchangeable in my opinion, you see that those who tout them and rise to power because of them, are not what one might call the brightest bulbs.

Even leading up to our modern day Socialist luminaries, we see the selfsame pattern emerging, wherein those pushing for it and stirring others to embrace it are individuals of little to no accomplishment.

Bernard Sanders, the famed Vermont Socialist who wants you to have everything for free by taking it from someone else, didn’t have a real job until his late thirties, and even then his job was to get people to sign up for welfare. Then, by some stroke of cosmic tomfoolery, he was elected mayor of Burlington Vermont in 1981 by a margin of ten votes. Ever since, without fail, Bernard has been suckling at the teat of government.

The man never built a thing, he never employed anyone, he never started a business, or bought a franchise, or tried to make it on his own. For thirty-eight years and counting, he has been living off the taxpayers he despises and wants to confiscate even more from.

If a man has no proven track record of accomplishing anything of value or permanence, if he has not proven that he can run something as paltry as a lemonade stand, what makes you think that he can run the biggest economy in the world successfully, while transforming it into something it was never intended or designed to be?

Chew on this: The aforementioned aspiring shoemaker was worth nearly $2 Billion Dollars at the time of his execution in 1989. Not bad for a guy who had to sound out the words when he read.

This is from the blog Homeward Bound:

Propaganda works best in a controlled environment. Especially when first starting out on the path of indoctrination, it is very important to have no voices of dissent, or differing opinions, because the subjects have, as yet, not been inoculated to truth. If not fully indoctrinated, if not fully immersed in the propaganda to the point that they will not even believe what their own eyes are seeing, they might do the unthinkable and think for themselves.

The dark side went for the long play, and it worked splendidly. They were not interested in trying to change the mind of a generation within the span of a few short months fraught with turmoil and despair, they were interested in changing the minds of the next generation, within the span of a generation, and so they honed in on the demographic they knew would eventually grow to be of voting age, the young.

While they slowly whittled away at this nation’s history, while they did away with God, morality, virtue, and self-reliance, while they systematically erased the past so that they could define the present and frame the future, the household of faith was busy infighting, backbiting, and dealing with the heady issues like whether or not there should be a coffee bar in the new sanctuary.

I realize it’s never comfortable being confronted with one’s own culpability in the corruption of an entire generation, but we have no choice but to own up to it, and try to salvage some or our dignity by pushing back on the lunacy that has gripped this nation.

We must learn from our mistakes, and understand that appeasement does not work. It never has, and it never will. Rather than resist, we attempted to appease, and we were still called the same names, still vilified, still made out to be intolerant, illiterate rubes, even though we were wearing the skinny jeans and the horn rimmed glasses.

Is it too late? I don’t know. But by doing nothing, saying nothing, sitting on our hands and waiting for the rapture, it will certainly and without equivocation be too late at some point.

There is an entire generation living in a bubble, and I’m still waiting for some of them to be confronted with the real world. I am anxious to see how they will react to real life having been coddled and sheltered for their entire existence. Real life is messy. The real world is messy. In the real world you have bills, you get fired, you have to find a job, your car breaks down, your kids get sick, and you can’t live off of mummy and daddy’s allowance until you’re old and gray.

This is the reality the bubble people will be confronted with sooner rather than later, and for the life of me I don’t see how they won’t spiral into depression and suicide the first time someone tells them no.

You can’t get at the bubble people without puncturing their bubble. You can’t expect someone to intuit the truth when they’ve been propagandized their entire life. Truth must be spoken. Truth must be verbalized. Truth must be declared boldly and robustly. Then, perhaps, some will be set free, and in turn go and declare the truth to others.

The Only Way to be at Peace with the World is to Betray the Cross   1 comment

This is from the blog Singapore Christian:

This is a wonderful article written by Michael Boldea Jr, Chairman of Hand of Help Orphanage. Boldea’s grandfather is the late Dumitru Duduman, who had written a number of books on Christian persecution and suffering, as well as prophecies that God had given him concerning the end times.

This article was published in the June-July 2015 Hand of Help Ministries newsletter.

Dear Brethren,

John 15:18-19, “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. Yet because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.”

2 Timothy 3:12, “Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.”

I’ve been doing more praying than writing lately. I’ve been doing more praying than pretty much anything else if I am to be perfectly honest, and I think anyone seeing the world for what it has become, and watching the chess pieces moving on the chessboard with lightning fast speed can do nothing less.

We knew these things were coming, for long and long we knew. Seeing them up close, however, does make one catch their breath and realize these are just the outlying storm clouds. The brunt of the storm itself and the true fury thereof has not yet arrived.

My heart breaks as I watch more and more people tether their hopes to the church, thinking it a place of refuge and safety, only to have their hopes shattered at the revelation that the church is full to the rafters with godless wolves who are tirelessly bringing in destructive heresies, hoping to seduce, to tempt, to deceive, and to shipwreck faith in the Christ, as well as the Word.

It seems like every other day there is some Christian college somewhere embracing what God abhors, and lest anyone have the temerity to say anything about it, they’ve already taken preemptive measures and painted any who would object as being bigoted knuckle draggers whose only place on this earth is a cave somewhere.

There no longer remains reverence for the Word of God, and as such we can call it a story book, the ramblings of long dead people who had nothing better to do than sit down and scrawl some chicken scratches on some parchment, or an antiquated tome likened to an instructional manual on making buggy whips.

There is no outrage, and this outrages me. There is no outcry, no call for the immediate dismissal of those who would slander the Word of God and compare it to nothing more than useless dross and filler.

With each passing day those who continue to cling to Christ and stand on the Word will be labeled outsiders. With each passing day those that refuse to be indoctrinated into the new and glorious heresy will be marginalized, shunned, and made out to be the worst kind of humans.

Most of you already know this; you’ve prepared your hearts for it. You’ve steeled your constitution, and are ready to brave the crashing waves of hatred and vitriol. This post is not so much for you, but for those who still walk about with their heads in the clouds thinking if only they make enough compromises, if only they acquiesce enough, if only they become more and more like the world, the world will eventually embrace them.

As long as you cling to Christ, you are a foreign entity and the world’s singular purpose is to expel you. The only way to be at peace with the world is to betray the cross, and sadly more and more ‘spiritual leaders’ and men of renown are doing exactly that.

For the past six years or so I’ve been warning of coming persecution only to be mocked, ridiculed, and even laughed out of some churches. It’s good to see some are at least are catching up, seeing what’s on the horizon, and beginning to sound the alarm.

Make your peace about being an outsider. Make your peace with the reality that you will be ostracized, maligned, marginalized, and persecuted. Pray not to be spared these things, but rather pray for the boldness, courage, and strength to endure them.

The hour draws nigh, and He who sees all will judge in righteousness and holiness among His own. You will know when this has commenced from the wailing and mourning that will pierce the silence.

Matthew 24:13, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

Subtle Judgments   2 comments

This is from the blog Homeward Bound:

Some tend to believe God’s only means of judging His creation and doing so in righteousness is via bombastic events that cause the world to pause and take a breath, and makes man realize the utter insignificance of his existence here on earth.

When we think of God’s judgment we tend to gravitate more towards the earthquake which just devastated Nepal than we do about what is happening in America momentarily.

What many fail to realize is that not all of God’s judgments are the same. Yes, there are certain times wherein the judgment of God is like a thunderclap in the silence, but there are also subtler judgments, some we might not even consider or acknowledge as such.

One of the most devastating of God’s judgments and one I have witnessed time and again is that of leaving man to his own devices, machinations, and destructive tendencies. God doesn’t need to throw lightning bolts at most folks to visit judgment upon them; all He needs to do is leave them to do as they will, and that’s judgment enough.

With the removal of light, the mind becomes darkened. Once the mind becomes darkened the choices we make and actions we take become so antithetical to our own self-interests it would make a schizophrenic do a double take.

Reason packs its bags and goes off on a long vacation, common sense has long since left the building, and all we have left is blind rage, anger at anyone and everyone, all because it’s far easier finding someone else to blame for our bad choices and poor decisions than it is to own up to the fact that we are directly responsible for where we find ourselves at any given moment in life.

We look upon the whole of humanity today and realize a vast swath of it is much like the Nebuchadnezzar of old sans the grass eating and sleeping out in the woods. Madness has overtaken men and women of all ages, social standing, and aptitudes, so much so that their singular purpose in life is their gut and their groin.

Hedonism has become the religion of the day, and for the sake of convenience thousands of innocents are slaughtered upon its altars daily, while the gullible and easily culled swallow the ‘choice’ pill as though it has become acceptable in the eyes of both God and men to choose murder on a whim, or because bringing a life into the world would conflict with your plans for the summer.

We are witnessing the beginning of the end, and most of us don’t even know it. What is left but judgment when the whole of man has become but brute beasts who no longer know the meaning of dignity, humanity, or holiness, and whose only god is the reflection staring back at them in the mirror?

Even those who have for long and long cried ‘mercy’ are grudgingly beginning to acknowledge that God’s judgment is justified, deserved, and necessary.

Strange Fire   Leave a comment

th

This is from the blog Homeward Bound:

Nadab and Abihu were the sons of Aaron. From early youth they were witness to the inner workings of the priesthood, having their father as an example of what it was to be consecrated unto God. Granted Aaron had some growing pains along the way, he didn’t always make the right decisions, building a golden calf from the gold and jewelry of the Israelites while Moses was up on Mount Sinai springs to mind, but since God received him as a priest, it is self evident that he repented, and learned obedience in his older years.

Their uncle was none other than Moses the servant of God who led the people of Israel through the red sea as though they were walking on dry land; the selfsame Moses whose relationship with God was so intimate that God allowed him to see His glory, and glimpse His back as He passed by, for no man could see the face of God and live.

Nadab and Abihu were not lacking in godly examples, nor were they lacking in hearing the Word of God, yet they made the fatal error of bringing strange or profane fire before the Lord, and as consequence were devoured by the fire of God.

So what is strange fire, and how can we keep ourselves from offering it before the Lord? It is indisputable that bringing strange fire before God is punishable by death, because the God who changes not, demands that those who come near Him regard Him as holy, and that He be glorified before all the people.

Nowadays the fear of the Lord being what it is among professing Christians, certain men and women who have reached the heights of Christian fame, seem to have no qualms about replacing the fire of God with their own fire. If it is ignorance that is causing them to offer God strange fire, I hazard to submit that ignorance is not an adequate excuse.

Offering God one’s own fire, rather than insisting on His fire, amounts to nothing less than the sacrifice of Cain that was brought before God absent of obedience. There is this sense of going through the motions in today’s church, following some ceremony, or program, simply to placate God. Just as Cain of old, we do not bring our sacrifice of praise, our sacrifice of worship, our sacrifice of reverence before God out of a pure and undefiled heart, but we view these things as necessary burdens we must carry to get God to bless us.

Some consider the path too narrow, some consider the ways of God too intolerant, some consider the standard of God too rigid, and so they take it upon themselves to replace the ways of God, with their own ideas and doctrines. Make no mistake, it is strange fire that many are offering before the Lord, and it was not at His command. They are wise in their own eyes, making straight paths crooked, and by so doing heap up for themselves the wrath and judgment of a righteous God.

Proverbs 14:12, “There is a way which seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death.”

The second means by which the modern day sons of Aaron offer up strange fire, is by dismissing the commands of God. The Bible was given as a guide and a lamp unto our feet, not as a means by which we can find loopholes for less than total submission and surrender to God. Rather than search the Word for instruction and truth, there are men today whose entire purpose is to scour the Word of God in order to find justification for sin, to find an obscure passage a solitary verse that can then be butchered and twisted to mean something it clearly does not mean. We may think we can play games with God, but God is not mocked.

God’s instruction for us today is as clear and straightforward as it was for those who handled the censers of God in the olden days.

Leviticus 16:12-13, “Then he shall take a censer full of burning coals of fire from the altar before the Lord, with his hands full of sweet incense beaten fine, and bring it inside the veil. And he shall put the incense on the fire before the Lord, that the cloud of incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the Testimony, lest he die.”

1 Peter 1:15-16, “But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, ‘Be holy, for I am holy.”

So what led to the sons of Aaron offering strange fire before the Lord? I believe the holy things of God had become common and routine for Nadab and Abihu. They had witnessed their father bringing sacrifice to God so many times, that they no longer had a reverence for it. Experiencing the presence of God, bringing sacrifice to God’s temple had become a common thing for them. The entire ceremony had become something they got used to insofar as they came to believe that if they wore the priestly robes they would be spared judgment.

Wearing a suit on Sunday morning as one stands behind the pulpit does not make them right in the sight of God! I have seen, on occasion, men absent of reverence as they treat the word of God as just another book, as a prop that looks good in their hands as they look into the camera and ask you to make the biggest sacrifice you can like that widow with the pancake.

It is a dangerous thing to treat the work of God with indifference and disregard, to set aside the standard of God, and just go through the motions, or worse yet, play it by ear and hope it all works out in the end.

Be in constant awe of God. Make standing in His presence a precious experience. Be reverent and come before Him with a clean heart, and a humble spirit. We learn what not to do from the sons of Aaron, we learn how not to take the things of God and the word of God lightly, we learn that God is righteous and just, and does not play favorites.

Yes, Aaron had done alot for God, but this did not exempt his sons from being obedient, but rather required them to live up to the expectation that God set forth.

The Word tells us that fire went out from the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. What I find worthy of mentioning, is that Aaron held his peace, accepting the righteous judgment of God even as his two sons were being carried by their tunics out of the camp.

Ezekiel 18:20, “The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

With love in Christ,

Michael Boldea Jr.
