John on the Isle of Patmos

Revelation 1: 9:  “I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.”

Revelation 2: 24:  “But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.”

Ephesians 2: 20:  “And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone.”

Every so often, I will meet someone and they will ask me about my testimony.  When they ask this, they probably think that I will tell them when I got saved and how I got saved.

Healing and the Wounds of Christ in my Body

My testimony is that my faith healed me of manic-depression (bi-polar) back in January of 1986 (I was 25 years old).  It was such a relief and a great blessing to be healed—I felt like a new man.  I told my parents about my being healed and they thought I was crazy.  My dad began to mock me and make fun of me (of course, he was rejecting Christ within me).  The mocking got so bad, that on the Thursday, Friday and Saturday before Easter, I had the wounds of Christ in my hands, my feet, my side and there was a circle of pain around my head.  You couldn’t see the wounds, but there was a constant, hot, searing pain in my hands, feet, side and head.  On Easter Sunday 1986, the pain was gone.

Deliverance from Demons/Breaking of Curses

The second part of my testimony is that I have been delivered of many demons.  I went through several deliverance sessions back in 1988-89 and I started to get freed up from demonic bondage.  Over the years, whenever I obeyed the Lord in something He had told me to do, I would get freed up from another demon.   “The anointing breaks the yoke of sin.” (Isaiah 10: 27)  Also I have been freed from many demons in my hitchhiking travels; my hitchhiking has been prayer and fasting unto the Lord (Matthew 17: 21).

The Lord is still delivering me of demons.  Praise the Lord!

The Second Coming

In September 1986, after going through a few years of tribulation (purification), the Lord came to me a second time.  Since that time, the Presence of God has been a permanent part of my life.  When the Lord glorifies my body (rapture), the Presence of God becomes magnified in me.  This is the intercessory work that the Lord does in my life.  Rapture is not some physical, bodily catching away by the Lord into outer space.  [Matthew 16: 28:  “Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.”]

Justification through Faith

For those who are curious about when I asked Christ into my life.  I was very suicidal from the age of 15 till I was 25.  At the age of 22, I asked Christ into my life; it was the last week of July 1982.

Baptism with Water

In January 1987, I was baptized with water by Pastor Bob Cousart of the Bethel Gospel Church in Ellensburg, Washington.  I was baptized at the Chestnut Street Baptist Church.  When I came out of the water I was glowing—the Presence of God was very strong on me for the rest of the day.  It was a very powerful experience.

The Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the Evidence of Speaking in Tongues

In September 1988, I was in bed praising the Lord when I began to speak in an unknown tongue.  This is the Baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues.  I spoke in a certain language until around April 1989.  I was kicked out of my house by Great Commission Church (Ames, Iowa) because I was preaching about praying in tongues and that the Lord had delivered me of many demons.  Since April 1989, I have prayed in a tongue that sounds like French.  I have never studied French in my life; I studied German for two years in high school and for one year in college.

Grade School

I knew the Presence of God from time to time when I was in grade school.  I prayed to God a lot when I was in grade school and my life was blessed.  But I wasn’t a Christian in grade school because I did not believe that Jesus Christ was God.  I believe that Enoch, Abraham, David and the Prophets knew the Presence of God, but that was before the Cross of Calvary.  After the Cross, when you are washed in the Blood of Jesus (through faith), you are a new creation, so the Presence of God takes on an entirely new dynamic.

Atheist

At the age of eleven, I made a tragic decision:  I quit praying to God because I thought that I didn’t need to pray anymore.  Slowly, I became more rebellious, and by the age of 15, I was a full-blown atheist.  Between the ages of 15 and 18, I was an atheist (I went to a Catholic high school in Iowa; I got kicked out of two religion classes; I dropped out of high school twice) and these were the most miserable years of my life.

Even though I have been rejected by family, friends and church people (because of my faith), I am very grateful for what the Lord has done in my life.

Prophet

As far as I can remember, my first prophetic dream was in September 1990.  In 1991, I met a prophetess in Marshalltown, Iowa—and it proved to be very prophetic.  In 1996, I wrote a poem “A Prophet’s Eyes” and it was later published by Ethos magazine.  It was then that I realized that the Lord had called me to be a prophet.

A Brutal Poem

Later in 1996, I wrote a poem “Shiloh”.  This poem was dictated to me by the Holy Ghost.  I have been inspired many times to speak something or to write something, but “Shiloh” was definitely DICTATED to me by the Holy Ghost.  That was the only time in my life that the Holy Ghost has dictated something to me. Sometimes when I read that poem, I start to weep. “Shiloh” reads like Psalm 22.

Ethos

The big miracle about “A Prophet’s Eyes” and “Shiloh” is that they were published by a secular magazine (Ethos, Iowa State University) in 1997.

Isaiah 8: 18:  “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.”

John 8: 12:  “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

I Corinthians 4: 9-13:  “For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.  We are fools for Christ’s sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.  Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace; And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:  Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world, and are the offscouring of all things unto this day.”

I Corinthians 4: 20:  “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power.”

Hebrews 6: 1-3:  “Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,  Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.  And this will we do, if God permit.”

Hebrews 11: 36-38:  “And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment:  They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented; (Of whom the world was not worthy:) they wandered in deserts, and in mountains, and in dens and caves of the earth.”

Revelation 12: 11:  “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

  1. Very interesting Tim! It’s scary how fellow Christians can reject another Christian based on their beliefs

    • one sees this type of polarisation more and more these days though it’s always been manifested thru the centuries in the body. Now we’re in an age where as Paul told Timothy people won’t endure sound doctrine, they gather themselves unto those who tickle their ears and the love of the truth is not in them. I know of brothers such as Steve Quayle, L A Marzulli, Tom Alberino, Pastor David Lankford, to name a few, who got tons of flak and “hate” email from “believers” who have their heads planted firmly in the sand. Same of prophetess Lois Vogel Sharp, And the brother prophet on Robert Clancy’s channel @ https://youtu.be/5Raz0F0zuO0
who’s getting flak and accused of being a doom and gloom type, who they infer is taking pleasure in sending out these messages to the body. I commented at one YT post of an interview with Kat Kerr where she prophesies nothing but good, prosperous, etc things for 2018, and another commentator had written that this didn’t jive with many other prophetic voices nowadays, didn’t seem to have a witness in his spirit. So someone replied that he was nothing but a doom and gloom reveler, So I replied that or maybe this accuser was a “tickle your ears” type, who wants to believe everything’s going to be rosy and we’ll all be raptured before any tribulation or persecution starts. I won’t go into all the details but she told me that I needed to get baptised in the HS with the evidence of speaking in tongues and to study the NT (tho’ I’d quote from the NT) as I was stuck in the OT mentality of judgment etc. I told her I was baptised in the HS with that evidence in 1972 and have had the gift of interpretation of tongues operate as well as at times prophecy.I told her it was quite the presumptions she had made without knowing anything of me.

  2. or should i say…preaching things they dont want to hear!

  3. kingintraining: People usually hate and reject that which they don’t understand or that which they don’t have. Carnal Christians are always at enmity with spiritual Christians—just like Ishmael was to Isaac and Esau was to Jacob.

    • This statement is so true. They don’t understand because they can’t understand. Only spiritual people with the Holy Spirit understand things of the spirit of God.

      God bless you Tim

  6. I praise God that He healed you of your bipolar disorder! My mother has had bipolar disorder all her life and it caused her to reject the Lord. Please join me in prayer for her salvation and deliverance.

  7. Ada: I was healed of manic-depression back in 1986 and it was one of the great experiences of my life. It was like being freed from a prison. Praise the Lord!

My prayers are with you and your mother.

  8. Wow, what an amazing testimony! Praise God for healing you, and working so powerfully in your life! I understand what it’s like to experience God in a way many people do not understand – it’s nice to hear I’m not alone in this respect!

  9. Kamea: Thank you for your comment. May God bless you and your family.

For a deeper healing, it is good to forgive those who hurt you or offended you. We need to forgive the offender and the offense—this was a very hard lesson for me to learn.

  10. Tim,
You’ve had a very difficult life. Thank you for sharing your testimony. God never abandons us, never gives up. You are God’s beloved son-child no matter how dark things become. I pray this will be a year of joy and unexpected healing for you. Thanks for visiting my blog. I pray nothing but God’s best for you.

  11. Tim, That is an awesome testimony! But, not to judge or anything like that, I have one question that kept on coming up as I was reading your story- Several times you mentioned that you were freed from several “demons” , and I am NOT trying to cast doubt on your story, but the Bible says that if you are in Christ, you are a new Creation, the old has passed away.(2 Corinthians 5:17) and several others where the dark can not live with the light- John 8:12, 12:46, Ephesians 5:8, 1 John 1:5…How can one be a Christian and still have demons (darkness) living inside at the same time?
Just being a Berean- Acts 177:11
Check mine out, please- https://sailordale.wordpress.com/ Thanks & Praise Jesus!

  12. Sorry, Typo- Acts 17:11, not 177:11……..

    • There are some Christians who believe that a Christian cannot have a demon in them; I am sure that these Christians believe in instant salvation. There is no such thing as instant salvation—though there is instant justification (when you ask Christ into your life). The more we die to self, the more the Lord shows us the depth of our demonic bondage: we work out our salvation with fear and trembling.

Before the Lord started to reveal to me more of the demonic bondage in my body and soul (back in 1988 just before I was baptised with the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in tongues), He showed me this scripture:

Revelation 2: 24: “But unto you I say, and unto the rest in Thyatira, as many as have not this doctrine, and which have not known the depths of Satan, as they speak; I will put upon you none other burden.”

  13. Shalom,

You say ” I wasn’t a Christian in grade school because I did not believe that Jesus Christ was God.” Being a Christian normally would mean being a follower of Christ. Christ is the one who Christians consider the Kristos or Messiah and send one form God. According to the Scriptures, which is the infallible Word of God, The Supreme Being Who Created heavens and earth, The God of gods does not tell lies. According to Scriptures He is an eternal Spirit, having no beginning and not end, not born and not able to die. He tells about Himself that He cannot be seen by man or they would die and let us know He cannot be tempted nor sin. He also let us know He is the Almighty All-Knowing Supreme, Most High of all.

When you would look at Jesus, in the Scriptures we are told that he was born (having a beginning), that he was seen by many (who did not fall death). Jesus had to learn everything and at the end of his life still did not know a lot of things. He even did not know when he would be coming back or who would be seated next to him. Jesus was tempted more than once in his life. He did not fall for temptation but could sin. Jesus did not sin because he did not want to do his own will but stayed doing the Will of his heavenly Father the Only One God, about Jesus said he could not do anything without Him, Who is greater than him (Jesus). Jesus was lower than angels and only after he was tortured until death overtook him, was put in the grave and was for three days in hell, God took him out of the dead and raised him up making him higher than angels. The days Jesus was back under the living he showed his wounds to proof he was no Spirit. In case he is God once more he would have told a lie, though we are told Jesus did not sin so also did not tell lies. God Himself told about the Nazarene Jew that he is His only begotten beloved son.

Christians are people who not only should follow the teachings of Jesus Christ. They should follow the commandments of Jesus and should follow the commandments of the God of Jesus Who is the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob, but also the God of the 1° Adam. We are given the 2° Adam for salvation, as a solution for the fall of man in the Garden of Eden. We should accept this offering of the Lamb of God like God Himself accepted the ransom paid by His only begotten son.
Those who accept Jesus for what he really did, dying for us all, giving his soul (life, flesh and blood) are the real Christians. Though those Christians would never believe Jesus is God but accept that Jesus is the son of God who really died for our sins. Not a God Who faked his temptation and death. What would be the use of such a charade and schizophrenic movements like praying to himself or asking why he abandoned himself? (How can you leave yourself alone?)

The big fault trinitarian Christians do is making Jesus their god and nullifying what this devout man really did. Those trinitarian Christians also blacken us Christians, who hour the Only One God and worship God like He wants us, not bowing down for graven images, not making any drawings of God, not making any of the living creatures as our god, but taking God’s Word for what they are, believing in what He says and in Who He send to this world, all the men of God who brought God’s Word to us and not theirs. We as real Christians do not only follow the Holy Scriptures, we want to do what Jesus asked his followers to do and like him we try not to do our own will but to do the Will of God and not the will of man.

May we express our hope that you will become a real Christian, a follower of Jesus Christ the Messiah. A lover of Christ and a lover of God, and not a keeper of human traditions following human doctrines, but following Biblical teachings or Biblical doctrine.

May God bless you and lead you to the Right Path, enabling you to enter the small gate of the Kingdom of God.
    Best wishes.

  14. Great Testimony. You might like the book by Karl I Payne titled Spiritual Warfare. It is one of the hardest to read books I have ever read, and that is because it is filled with so much wisdom on battling demonic influences and Satan.

    • Thank you. I think the problem with a lot of Christians in the United States is that they really don’t go beyond justification. Healing/Deliverance/Spiritual warfare are absolutely important for a Christian to grow deeper and stronger. Satan loves shallow, lukewarm Christians.

  15. Hey Tim. I’m actually looking for deliverance right now. I have evil spirits that have placed my spirit and mind in bondage because of my involvement with shamanism, witchcraft and the occult. They torment me day and night, and only by the strength God gives me, I am able to stand. Please pray for me, that I may find deliverance and freedom from these evil spirits. I am obedient unto God’s Word and love Him with all my heart, soul, strength and mind. If you have any instructions from me, or a word of revelation or even a message from His Holy Spirit please relay it back to me. I really am in alot of inner pain and anguish, so in the name of Jesus, please help me. My email is fluentspellar@gmail.com. Thanks, and God bless

  16. Dear Friend, I appreciated your testimony. One point you might consider taking to the Holy Spirit to clarify. Is speaking in tongues vindication of the Baptism? I think not as I have known pagans, heathens, Hindus, sinners and out and out athesist to “speak in tongues”.

I appreciate this is a central doctrine of Pentecostals etc., but there more holes in the doctrine than a fishing net. I am most certainly not saying those baptised by the Holy Spirit don’t speak in tongues as I have. However, as ” proof” of being born again baptised by the Holy Spirit I think is a shame doctrine indeed.

And without accepting the Dispensational doctrine first “discovered” in the 19 the century by Darby, Scofield etc., you would have to conclude all the saints previouly never received the Baptism nor any of the gifts. As I said shakry doctrine indeed. Solid doctrine as preached and demonstrated by the first generation Quakers prior that name becoming associated with non Christians is solid teaching. To hear from our Lord Jesus, lip to ear as it were obey.
    Peace in the Light

  17. Hello Tim

Appreciate the Lord’s Testimony in your life and even more the on-going desire of your heart to follow Him. May the Lord be pleased to increase our desire for Him and to continue to give us Grace to work out the things He is desiring to Work in.
